Services are held at the meetinghouse, 122 South Pomperaug Avenue in Woodbury at 10:30 a.m. (unless otherwise noted), each Sunday morning followed by coffee, tea and conversation. Please join us. May 19 - The Transforming Power of Lifespan Education Over a hundred years ago William Ellery Channing proposed “The great end in religious instruction is not to stamp our minds upon [others], but to stir up their own…to awaken the soul, to excite and cherish spiritual life.” The transforming power of knowledge and education remains at the heart of the Unitarian Universalism today. Join Rev. Jeanne and others to be inspired by the words of the past, the work of the present, and the possibility the future holds for each of us. Today is also RE Gratitude Sunday, recognizing our children and teachers, by whose presence we all grow. Note: The Annual Meeting for MUUS will follow this service. May 26 - Reflections of a UU on Memorial Day Memorial Day is not just a day of leisure but a day to remember all those Americans who died fighting for their country. How do we as UU's honor the courage and sacrifice of soldiers while acknowledging the tragedy of war and affirming our commitment to peace? Donna Pereira will be presenting. Past Services
